Cartagena, Colombia

Cartagena is most likely the most humid and hot destination I’ve visited by far. Just reminiscing on my visit makes me feel sweaty. But it’s a feeling I’m willing to relive in a heartbeat. Per usual, my itineraries before my travels are usually full of booked and planned activities. But even after four days in Cartagena I feel like I haven’t seen enough, because it has so much to offer.

Lots of street art murals to see!

First experience I’d recommend is Playa Blanca, because I love hanging out by the beach. It’s a public beach so prepare for the crowd and many people repeatedly asking you if you’d like a massage.

Next time I go back I’ll definitely do a private beach.

2. Walking around within the walled city and Getsemani neighborhood.

The earlier in the day you do this the better because it’s very hot and the sun makes it unbearably hot mid day.

3. The seafood in my experience was amazing.

4. Cafe Del Mar is beautiful for sunset views and dinner. Go right when they open and  secure a nice table.
